Supporting and Connecting Local Business and Services

In order to join the Business Bagel Directory, you must attend our breakfast networking at least once every three months; just so that we know you are a healthy trading organisation who is able to be contacted.

The directory is FREE but you have to come along to a meeting!

All our members are recomended, but we do ask that you come along to our Bagel Networking* to meet up first, face-to-face (old school). Our breakfasts are fun, informal and are a great way to introduce yourself as a local service or business. We love connecting people, and get a real kick out of seeing local trades, businesses and services working together.

Here’s the run down of how a Bagel Meeting works:

“Starter for Ten”; the first session when you arrive

Rock up, grab a coffee and say “Hi”. We always have someone there to greet you, so you won’t be left standing around.

You are welcome to take advantage of our great breakfast buffet, stand up and chat or take a seat and relax. The breakfast is freshly prepared and includes hot and cold food, along with fruit, unlimited tea, fresh coffee and juice. (Drop us a line before hand if you have any dietary requirements be it veg, vegan or allergies. No problem).

“The Pitch”;Tell us what you do

We ask everyone to give a quick run down of their business and tell us what they might like to get out of the meeting. This can be as short as “Hello, I am Brian and I fit wooden floors. Here’s my card” or something a little more detailed; every person gets this chance. At “The Pitch”, you also hand over your business cards, if you have one, to the host, and these are placed on the Bagel, display board. Bring some spares to put on the table for others to take, if they have not managed to get one directly from you.

“The B-line”: head straight to someone you would like to speak to

Once everyone has spoken we just mingle, talk shop and exchange details. You may want to carry on an earlier conversation, speak to someone new or directly ask some questions or offer your services after hearing a specific “pitch”.

The business directory

Everyone who attends the Bagel Networking Meeting will be added to the directory, helping to boost their online presence. This is a great way to share details and look up who you met at the last Bagel. Everyone on the Bagel is recommended and accountable. Once we have added you to the directory, we will send you your login and you will be able to update your own directory listing, at your leisure.

Editing your directory listing

Once you receive our notification that your directory listing is ready, you can simple login here MY ACCOUNT. Once logged in, pop along to your listing and hit the edit button in the top right. Any problems just drop us a line.

That’s it!

The Bagel is not an exclusive club, but it is serious about making business contacts, especially for trusted local services.

We are wholly committed to localisation of business and employment.

There’s no dress code, everyone is welcome.

Are you in the Bagel? We hope to see you soon.

Any pre-meet up questions or Bagel, related issues, drop us a line anytime.

*You will need to attend at least one Bagel every three months to stay on the directory, so that we know that you are still trading.

Please note: Bagel meetings are every 4th Tuesday of the month at 10am only! Dismiss
